Half your team will be them so learn how to use them. Lineamans are decent at many things but good at nothing. Thrower is very good at throwing, but can also perferm any duty of a lineman. This is a bit of a data dump, I'm sure others will pick me up on anything I've missed!īlitzers are good for Blitzing and Blocking, but also for running and scoring. Ideally you'd want to pick up with the Thrower, run the ball with him a few turns, and hand off to a Blitzer to score if it's very safe. Tey and minimise passing, it's a whole bunch of dice whilst humans are only "good" rather than "fantastic" agility wise. Humans are a jack of all, master of none team, they're meant to play the running game vs bash, and the bash game vs anything else.Įlf screen, and Caging are two terms you'll find on here and Google a lot, also good to practice with humans. Learn assists, you want to be making 2 dice blocks with your normal players, even 3 dice blocks with your Ogre, as much as possible. Try and minimise having marked up pieces at the end of your turn, they won't get you more blocks the next turn, they'll get your team beaten the crap out of. Google Rule of 5 setups it's a good defensive formation for humans. Their job is to get punched, not all your call stuff. On defense, put 3 linemen on the LOS, that's it, no more. Super basic stuff: The apothecary should be your first purchase as soon as you can afford it. I need someone in the know of BB2020 to tell me if you can still have the starting roster or 4 Blitzers, an Ogre, a Thrower, and 5 Linemen with 3 rerolls? Also it's worth checking out some BB2 videos on YouTube, whilst the rules have changed quite a bit, the way to play Humans hasn't massively. If you can't utilize catchers well then I'd say humans are not for you, better to play orcs or some other team thats more focused on bashing. If you're brand new to bb it has a pretty steep learning curve but there are some fundamentals you can practice to have a better time. Blitzers are okay but they dont have the default skills or movement to make them great at it and you're wasting rerolls that can be used elsewhere. catchers are priceless, particularly with av8, once you get behind the oppositions line they have to dedicate forces away from their frontline which makes yours stronger and if they don't they can quite easily get the ball or have it passed deep to them. I'd also take 4 rerolls since humans generally need plenty of rerolls to out maneuver bashy teams. Also, tackles only good when youre facing lots of agility teams, right now you're better off taking guard first on your blitzers. best place for it would be on one of your catchers along with wrestle to create a fast agile ball hawk. Well, first of all it seems a bit odd to put so much dauntless on your linemen seeing as its an extremely situational skill. I'm still looking at ways to imrpove them. I put about 200 hours into bb1, and played human most of the time. If I take a casualty, I can still use them to stop up the run lanes.Īny suggestions would be great. I typically use both for offense, and swap them out for 2 linemen during defense. Unless the other player has tackle, or wrestle, It's 5/6 odds in my favor of avoiding a knock down. One to try and hold agile players in place, like catchers, and elves in general, and the other for straight up bashing.įor catchers, I gave them block to be a complete and utter pain in the ♥♥♥ to try and bring down. The last linemen gets kick, because being able to place the ball where you need it to be is always good. Of course pro is risky, but you can still use standard rerolls under dire circumstances, its just nice for lesser stuff like trying to get out of double blue block. Hes a player for everything, picking up the ball, blocking, and even catching at times. I gave 1 linemen Pro because free rerolls are always useful. Ogre + guard helps give 2 dice rolls in these situations. The team was oriented to handle everything.Īgainst teams with 4 or more strength, the humans have trouble fighting back at all, so I gave 3 linemen dauntless to give me the ability to fight back moderatly when needed. Though I still have 2 blitzers and a thrower without their skill. Thats just the first round of abilities I've given my players. I wanted a team that could handle every race in the game to a high degree, so I'll just let it rip.ĥx Linemen - (x3 with dauntless, x1 Pro, x1 Kicker)Ĥx Blitzers - (x2 with tackle, x2 with Power Blow)
